A Unique Exchange Trailer & Promo
May 2009
One of my proudest accomplishments is “A Unique Exchange,” a documentary that I produced, directed, and edited for WTIU, the Indiana PBS affiliate. I successfully pitched the idea of exploring the unique relationship between coffee roasters in the U.S. and coffee growers in Mexico to a producer at WTIU. Then I went to Chiapas, Mexico with a translator to film the Kulaktik Cooperative Coffee Growers. Overcoming the new environment of an indigenous community, I interviewed three coffee growers. Additionally, working with a four-person crew, I interviewed four coffee roasters from WI and IN. After transcribing the interviews, I spent fourteen-hour days in the editing booth to complete postproduction. This experience of working with a small crew, interviewing people, and long hours editing, shows that I am dedicated to the standards of work for a production company. “A Unique Exchange” is broadcasted on WTIU. 3D After Effects Project
May 2009
This is a project for a fictional yearbook that I did in my graphics and animation course. Within the 3D element, I worked with lighting, positioning, and audio. The challenge of this piece was the camera movement. Instead of zooming in, I moved the camera to my subject. Adding light gave emphasis to my subject as well as adding the sound design to the objects. I really like how this piece turned out. |
One Person
January 2009
The story covers the friendship between Alex Wiles and Chris Pavel. I produced, directed, and edited this short documentary about Big Brothers Big Sisters. I led a four-person crew, interviewing people during 3 production shoots. Managing everyone's schedule and time frame, I successfully finished this project within the deadline. This piece was used to help promote and inform people of the benefits of joining the program. |
